Selle Italia SLR Gravel Elite Saddle

Inspired by road cycling, Selle Italia transfers the DNA of the SLR product line to the gravel sector with this saddle. And the SLR Gravel Elite has been optimally optimised specifically for the requirements of off-road riding. A special highlight: the removable protective insert, which closes the central saddle cutout and protects you from wheel spray and mud.

And that is just the beginning of the technical refinements. The heart of the SLR Gravel Elite is its saddle rail made of vibration-absorbing tubular steel. Thanks to the titanium alloy, it is both lightweight and robust. In addition, the X-Bow system between the saddle rail and the saddle cover acts like a shock absorber on uneven surfaces. This is complemented by a flexible saddle shell, which has been provided with light padding and can further mitigate shocks.

The feature list is rounded off with the reinforced saddle flanks at the rear of the SLR Gravel Elite. These areas are particularly hard-wearing, so you can lean your bike against a wall guilt-free. In addition, the flanks have a reflective surface, which can increase visibility in poor lighting conditions. Perfect for gravel rides at dusk.

Technologies:
• Neutral: The neutral saddle shape is recommended by Selle Italia for riders with average "movement" on the saddle or people with a neutral pelvic tilt.
• Superflow: SuperFlow technology reduces physical effects that can be triggered by long-term pressure on the perineal area.
• Removable protective insert: This removable insert for the central saddle cutout protects you from mud and water without increasing pressure on the perineum.
• Lightweight tubular steel rails: These slim steel rails, which were selected for their weight, absorb road vibrations and ensure a smoother ride.
• Light padding: Thanks to idmatch, the most common contact points on Selle Italia saddles could be identified, so that minimal padding was only added where it is needed.
• Carbon Powered: Saddle shell made of carbon fibre and high-quality nylon polymer.
• Light Gel: Lightweight gel padding for high comfort and stability. Absorption of vibrations paired with low weight.
• Shock Absorber: Damping system between the saddle shell and rails that effectively reduces road shocks and vibrations.
• Hi-Viz: Specially reflective surface that can increase visibility in the dark.

The idmatch system for Selle Italia saddles: The letter S or L indicates the width of the saddle. The decisive factor here is the distance between your ischial tuberosities:
Choose size S if you have an ischial tuberosity of less than 120 mm.
Choose size L if you have an ischial tuberosity of more than 120 mm. If you do not yet know your ischial tuberosity distance, you can measure it yourself using a piece of corrugated cardboard, a pencil and a tape measure, for example. The numbers 1, 2 and 3 indicate the size and presence of a cut-out in the saddle and are based on the individual pelvic rotation. A possible reference point: If you are able to rotate your pelvis far forwards on the bike and can therefore comfortably bring your upper body into a low position, this indicates high flexibility and you should consider size 3. If you have medium or low flexibility, you should therefore choose size 2 or 1.

1: Closed saddle without cut-out – Suitable for low pelvic rotation.
2: Saddle with small cut-out called "Flow" – Suitable for medium pelvic rotation.
3: Saddle with large cut-out called "Superflow" – Suitable for strong pelvic rotation.
