Rose RC-Fifty Rim 28" / 700 C Carbon Road Bike Rear Wheel SRAM XDR | 21 Spokes

The hand-laced carbon wheels of the ROSE RC Rim series are the current reference in terms of aerodynamics, performance and weight from ROSE Bikes for your road bike with classic rim brakes!
This also applies to our ROSE RC-Fifty Rim rear wheel with its 47 mm high rim profile. It is predestined for maximum performance on long and flat rides. But also in competition, when every second counts, this carbon wheel cuts a fine figure thanks to excellent aerodynamics, agility and manoeuvrability.

Everything stands and falls with the rim!

The high-end carbon rim of the ROSE RC-Fifty Rim road wheel was fully developed in-house and has a special construction that makes it very light and yet stable and durable. Of course, we follow the trend towards wider tyres and therefore gave the rim a full inner width of 19 mm and “tubeless-ready” compatibility - no upgrades needed. Naturally, you can also ride the RC-Fifty Carbon rear wheel in a conventional way with a conventional tyre and inner tube.
Due to the special rim profile, the carbon rims not only minimize air resistance, but also reduce annoying air turbulence. Even strong crosswinds are optimally dissipated. As a rider you can feel full control over your road bike in every riding situation and save valuable energy for the really important duels on the track. Be it against your competitors in the sprint or simply against you and your weaker self.

ROSE made by NEWMEN!

We didn’t want to compromise on the hubs! That’s why they come from Newman - a small but fine high-performance company that both designs and tests as well as produces in the Allgäu. The CNC-milled hub body with the lowest tolerances has a high material thickness at the neuralgic points and thus large safety reserves. At other points, the material could again be reduced to such an extent that a very low hub weight was nevertheless achieved. In the rear wheel hub, a freewheel with a precise ratchet system also ensures direct traction and maximum propulsion. The high-quality, double-sealed industrial bearings with our specially developed high-performance grease filling ensure reliable and long-lasting function as well as extremely simple operation. A frequently complicated adjustment of the bearing clearance is not necessary.

Robust aero spokes and inverted nipples!

A stable and reliable connection between the Newmen hub and the ROSE RC-Fifty Rim carbon rim is ensured by 21 strong Sapim CX-Sprint Straightpull aero blade spokes. The reliable Sapim aluminium spoke nipples lie aerodynamically inside the rim and are mounted inverted, so basically “wrong way around”. The nipple is supported on conically shaped Sapim nipple washers, which ensures an even distribution of the load and thus a relief of both the spokes and the rim. This drastically reduces the probability of spokes breaking.

Nothing beats honest craftmanship!

In line with our long-standing company tradition, we completely dispensed with machine spoking in the ROSE RC-Fifty rim wheelset. Instead, each individual wheel is spoked and centred by hand at our company headquarter in Bocholt. This way, our experienced wheel builders guarantee the best possible quality in spoke tension and concentricity.
